Middle School News:)

Hello I’m Tanisha Mikels and I’m going to tell you about the middle school news class. There are thirteen middle school students in the seventh and eighth grades. We all take part in this class by making a video, a pod cast, or written stories. We are expected to make one of these items per week and get them posted on our school news page. You have a partner in this class as well, who you keep as a partner all quarter. Each week you are doing a different type of story. One week it will be a video, the next a pod cast, then a written story and so on. It isn’t as easy as it sounds.

When we create our stories we get to choose the topic, which is sometimes a hard task. There are a lot of things we could write about, but the class is called Middle School News, not world news. So our stories have to all be Middle School related. Sometimes thing just aren’t very interesting things happening in the middle school every week, but we manage to come up with something. I asked Melissa Kite if she thought Middle School News sounded interesting and she said, “No, I don’t think I’d be interested in that kind of class.” I also asked Zach Gross what he thought and he responded “It could be fun, maybe.”
Our teacher in Middle School News is Mr. Bruns, who also teaches High School News as well as U.S History. In my opinion Mr. Bruns is an amazing teacher. He makes this class exciting not just a regular boring news class. So, that’s what Middle School News is. If you’re interested, try it next year! (:
